War Eagle Cryogenic Plant
|Scope of Work||
Mountain Gathering, LLC
Brandon Rumbaugh Solutions (BRS) (previously Tri-County Engineering) performed topographic and environmental surveys and prepared preliminary and final site design for an approximate 16 acre cryogenic plant pad located on a 350 acre site in Penn Township, Butler County, PA. The site was evaluated to accommodate the proposed plant which included zoning requirements, sensitive environmental resources such as wetlands, springs and streams, utilities, and constructability of the site.
The project is located in a township requiring Best Management Practices to meet post-construction water quality requirements. This was achieved with the use of two infiltration basins along the access road and a detention basin with two fore bays. This also included design of stormwater management controls to reduce post-developed flows to pre-development rates. The scope required the layout and design of a 1,700-foot access road. BRS also provided permitting, design and construction stake out for the installation of the water and overhead electric transmission lines to the plant. The transmission lines traveled 1.2 miles to reach the plant.
Along with the water service, a 12-million gallon fresh water impoundment was installed with 1 million gallons dedicated to the fire protection of the plant. BRS staff performed inspection of critical BMP features and weekly inspections of the erosion and sediment controls.
